Suggest Treatment For Constipation

I have been irregular for over two weeks. The last time I had a bowl movement was Sunday about 3 days ago. I have been fasting on warm lemon juice water since then during the day from 7am until 6pm and then I eat a light meal, mostly fiber rich foods (spinach & kale salad and pinto beans). Just today I bought some Fiber-con and took 2 tablets and drank over 40oz. of warm lemon juice water. Is that safe or should I use an enema?

Hello,

Yes, it is safe. You can use enema intermittently. But you should make som,e dietary and life style changes.

Take plentiful fiber, raw veggies, and fruits, avoid the junk, be physically active and have lukewarm lemon water in the morning

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
