Suggest Treatment For Consistent Vaginal Itching

For about 5 years I have had very consistent vaginal itching. My doctor has tested me for everything he can think of and tried every cream and pill under the sun. I never have any type of infection but the itching is so horrible. It s on the labia majora and between the labia majora and labia minora- and on my clitoris and the clitoral hood....I have done everything like cotton underwear, loose fitting clothing, no fragrances in my laundry detergent or anything that touches there. I went to an allergist to test for allergies and out of a million allergens only got one thing that I was allergic to and it was a random metal called cobalt something. I itch myself so badly that I bleed and i find the hair follicles seem to be raised and I scratch til they bleed. I notice no pattern with regard to my period and also have in the past year stopped birth control and don t notice any difference at all so I don t think it s hormonal. The only thing that has even remotely given me SOME relief was using a combination of cordran lotion (for eczema) and baby diaper rash cream. But I can t slather myself in absurd amounts of cream every night just to barely feel any relief. Any ideas on how to fix this? I can t take it anymore!

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

Vaginal itching is due to candida infection so you have to start antifungal like Zocon once a day for 10days. And insert Canesten vaginal cream internally for 5 days, and spray candid powder externally.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Sunita Kothari, OBGYN
