Suggest Treatment For Cold Sores And Redness In The Palms

Hi, I have 2 very new symptoms that started early this week. 1- Lower, left sided back ache, starts a few hours after I go to bed, keeps me up tossing and turning most of the night, and is extremely stiff and achy in the morning, lasting until early afternoon, slowing subsiding to a dull ache in the evening and starts over again. 2- Very itchy palms and thumbs and pinkies, with raised bumps and peeling skin that comes and goes every day. No redness, no discharge, almost like an allergic reaction from within. Today, I woke up with a cold and a whopping cold sore.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction. I suggest using antihistamine daily such as Benadryl. I also recommend using Hydrocortisone cream for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
