General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Cold and cough are commonly related to a viral infection. In viral infection, the antibiotics are not effective. I would recommend using anti-inflammatory medication such as acetaminophen. I also recommend drinking liquids and rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
