I've seen my primary doctor, my optometrist and an ophthalmologist for chronic watering eyes. I was told I have some irritation under my upper eyelid. They testes my thyroid and had me on medication for allergies, different eye drops and the last one they put me on was eurithromiacyn and nothing is helping. What can I do? I'm not sure if it's blocked tear ducts or what but I'm apparently a medical mystery as nobody has a clue as to what's going on.
Chronic watering may be due to blocked nasolacrimal duct..what you say tear duct... Which can be confirmed by asking for regurgitation test or sac syringing test... To be more specific n diagnostic you can go for dacryocystography if not pregnant... If blocked is confirmed , you.need to get operated for.it by DCR - dacryo cysto rhinostomy... Routine type or endoscopic one .. Whichever preferable & affordable to you...
