Suggest Treatment For Chronic Stomach Pain With Left Side Abdominal Swelling
Hi, so I have been having chronic stomach pains for 6 weeks now. After eating pretty much anything, I will get intense stomach pains for like 2 hours and then it subsides to a dull pain. Am on omeprazole to help it for like the past month and it has not helped. Side note: swelling on left side of abdomen or ribcage, but doesnt hurt to touch. Not sure if it is related to stomach pain and not sure when it started swelling. Any idea what my stomach pains are. Also I m lactose intolerant and avoid dairy
As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. We have to rule out possible causes like any lump or mass in the abdomen. You can opt for ultrasound abdomen to look for any intraabdominal causes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
