Suggest Treatment For Chronic Pain And Jock Itch

rECENT SURGERY (REMOVAL OF MY LEFT KIDNEY) AND THREE ADDITIONAL ABDOMINAL SURGERIES FOLLOWING (HOSTILE HERNIATED ABDOMEN) HAS LEFT MY ONCE SVELT FORM A MESS. gLAD TO BE ALIVE, I must now DEAL WITH UGLY OVERLAPPING FOLDS OF SKIN. SINCE A MESH HAS BEEN USED, APPARENTLY PLASTIC SURGERY CANNOT CORRECT THE EXCESS FOLDS; HOWEVER, RASHES AND HEAVY PUS-LIKE MOISTURE WITH EXTREME ITCHING IS A DAILY ISSUE TO BE DEALT WITH. THIS AFFECTS BENDING FOR MOST ACTIVITIES. WILL DESENEX POWDER FOR JOCK ITCH HELP THIS PROBLEM? I HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT CHRONIC PAIN WILL BE MY CONSTANT COMPANION, BUT WOULD APPRECIATE LOOKING-FEELING BETTER. THANK YOU.

Hi,

It can be jock itch.

As the first line of management, you can apply an antifungal ointment like Clotrimazole for symptomatic relief.

Always keep the affected region dry.

If symptoms persist, you can consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
