Suggest Treatment For Chronic Irregular Rectal Bleeding

I have experienced some irregular bleeding in my rectum over the past couple of weeks. No tarry looking stools. No real sign of blood in the stool. Just when I wipe. However, this morning when I wiped, there seemed to be a blood clot. Should I be worried?

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

bleeding during defection since couple of weeks could be due to piles, fissures, fistula or rarely any growth in rectum etc.

First you need to get examined by surgeon to rule out above possibilities.

You may need some routine blood counts,ESR,electrolytes and local examination of the anal region.

You should consult general surgeon who will do complete clinical examaintion with proctoscopy to diagnose the underlying cause.

Take quinolones antibiotics with antiprotozoals,
Anovate or Dobesil cream or ointment to be applied over anus after defecation.

Hot sitz bath daily with sit naked in hot warm water for 15 minutes.

Avoid alcohol,
Avoid oily and spicy foods for symptomatic relief.

Consult surgeon for further advice.
