Suggest Treatment For Chronic Insomnia Along With Pain In Gums And Jaws

I have been prescribed benzodiazepines for years to mitigate chronic insomnia. I am not depressed or anxious. This goes back to trauma at 7 years old. Today, I have a problem with serious pain in my gums and jaw on th he right side. I don t know what to do.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain severe pain in jaw and gums on right side can be due to causes like a decayed tooth and pain in jaw and gums can be radiating pain from the decay site..
In case if you do not have any decayed tooth then it can be due to nerve induced pain known as Trigeminal Neuralgia..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray or MRI scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now you can take painkillers like Ibuprofen for moderate pain and if pain is severe you can take ketorolac for relief..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
