Suggest Treatment For Chronic Hip Pain

Hi Dr. Rynne, I have had a hip pain for the past 12 years, when I first injury myself using the stairmaster and elliptical machines at a gym. I had labrum tear repair surgery about year-and-half ago. Regretfully, I still have some sharp pain around my hip. According to a Pelvis MRI results that I had done almost a year ago, I have an avulsion of the indirect head of the right rectus femoris tendon for the supra-acetabular ridge. I have done physical therapy for about a year without any results. The pain comes back every time I try to jump rope, use the elliptical machine, and/or the stationary bike. I am 51 years-old, 5 8 , 165 lbs. At this point, I wish for a surgical procedure that would repair the avulsion. What s your opinion Doctor? Rick
