Greetings Sir.
I am glad that i may be able to help you overcome your problem.
It's unfortunate that H.pylori might infected you as per your details. At this stage you have to be little careful in taking care of your stomach without getting it into complication & don't take it easy about treatment. Follow it strictly & complete full course of treatment.

Now coming to your problem of "HALITOSIS", following reason causes bad breath viz.,

-If you don't brush and floss teeth daily, food particles can remain in your mouth, promoting bacterial growth between teeth, around the gums, and on the tongue;
-Dry Mouth;
-Smoking or chewing tobacco-based product;
-Artificially induced halitosis after eating aromatic meal viz., garlic, onions, highly spiced food; etc., & lots more.

To Prevent it further, follow these easy steps regularly:
1. Improve oral hygiene.
2.Regular tongue cleaning.
3.Regular use of antimicrobial toothpastes and mouthwashes after consulting your doctor.
4.Regular dental review to ensure maintenance of effective oral hygiene.
5.Treating your H. pylori Infection.
6. Regular follow up post H.pylori treatment.

Note:

Finally it's just a guidance. Not a definitive treatment as i haven't seen you personally. You've to realize that these are temporary remedies. We don't know what your exact condition is unless we see you personally.

Hope it helped you.

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Noble Zachariah's  Response
Hello,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM'
H.Pylori infection is a cause for halitosis. Take the full course of tripple regime .
Then you should continue the proton pump inhibitor for 4 weeks more. Then stop all medicines and after a week do a urea breath test to ensure that the H.Pylori is eradicated.
Dryness of the mouth from use of any medicine or out of anxiety can also produce halitosis.
If you have more queries, I am available.
