My wife has a chronic eye infection. Allergies do not seem to be the cause. High quality eye doctors have not been able to relieve the drainage, the redness or the pain that she is enduring. Can this be so rare that ophthalmologists cannot recognize it to treat it. This has been going on for several months.
what is the type of discharge. itching is present or absent. if not allergy then itis fungal or resistant strain of infection.get culture sensitivity test of discharge. use the antibiotic to which it is most sensitive. if fungal then you have to go for anti fungal oral and topical drop.you have excluded allergy. but imay be still the cause.
