Suggest Treatment For Chronic Back Pain With Discoloration

I have had chronic back pain for several years. Now I have noticed discoloration on my lower back. It kind of looks like a really big bruise but it s been there for over a week with no change in color and it hasn t reduced in size. Is this something I should be worried about?
