Although a personal physical examination followed possibly by an ultrasound and a few blood investigations would help us to reach at a probable diagnosis , til that period, you can go for some proton pump inhibitor drug along with an anti inflammatory drug for some relief of the pain.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
