Suggest Treatment For Chest Congestion, Cough And Dizziness

I have a chest cold with mucus (yellow) . My problem is when coughing, i lose focus and get very dizzy and can not stop cycle of coughing for moments at time. Am I in danger of a stroke, or other heart injuries, or brain damage, or loss of concessness?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Coughing, especially if it is a severe bout of coughing can cause dizziness.

This is because it can temporarily affect heart rate and blood pressure which then causes the dizziness.

You would need to control the coughing to prevent this complication. The use mucolytics to help break up the mucus and cough and cold medication would be helpful.
These would be available over the counter.

I hope this helps
