General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome to HCM.

When a cat bites, its sharp canine teeth easily puncture the skin, leaving small, but deep wounds in the skin which pose a higher risk of infection so a course of antibiotics like Amoxicillin with Clavulonic acid is recommended beside taking single short of tetanus toxoid and four shots of anti rabies vaccine on day 0,3,7,14 and 28. If the cat is found to be healthy after 10 days you may skip the doses on days 14 and 28.

These vaccines have no serious impact on your health, so no need to worry.

Hope to have answered your query.
