I am in real need of help, I don't know what to do anymore.

About a week ago, I felt burning and a little bit of itching down there and then I found the cottage cheese sort of discharge. So I went to my doctor, she took a sample of the discharge and sent it away to the lab for testing. She said I would receive results in three days. Until then, she told me to take garlic tablets, acidophilius, anything natural to help with a yeast infection (as she believed this was what it is). So I did as I was told.

The burning stopped, there is very minor itching (only for about...30 seconds a day) and the discharge returned to ALMOST normal (still a random bit of cottage cheese similarity).



I am still waiting for my doctor to call back. I decided to go to a second and they told me just to wait on the results from my last doctor. It's been nearly two weeks now. Yesterday, I noticed there was quite a bit of swelling 'down there', and now today, it is practically swollen shut! I don't know what to do anymore! I don't know if I should just try taking canesten and treating what may be a severe yeast infection.



I fear that if I keep waiting for a result, it's going to just keep getting worse. I don't know what to do anymore, I want to cry so much! My fiance and I are monogamous to each other and we always use protection either way. I need advice, please help me!



(Also, I called to get another appointment with said doctor and she is not available until next wednesday)
