Suggest Treatment For Bulky Uterus And Ovarian Cyst

Hi, I was requested by my Family Doctor after my early check up to have a Pelvic and Transvaginal Utrasound. I am 46 years old with 2 Kids (C- section) no symptoms of any kinds. The result was: The study shows a bulky uterus (the endometrium measures 0.9 cm in thickness), and a small left ovarian Cyst 3.8 cm with thin septae. Can you advise what the last expression means specifically Thanks

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Your ultrasound report is suggestive of slightly enlarged uterus, which is present in pelvic infection as well as in premenopausal period.
The ovarian cyst with thin septa is most likely to be a hemorrhagic cyst, however ovarian tumours should be ruled out by a Doppler ultrasound and CA 125 levels in the blood.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
