Suggest Treatment For Bruised And Painful Thigh

Hi, so I slipped and fell down the stairs all on the right side leg and bruised my thigh. I can barely put weight on it and when I do, the pain is unbearable. I iced it and there is no swelling but a lot of throbbing pain. What should I do farther? Is it necessary to go see a doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having severe injury on thigh and leg muscles and even risk of fracture is there.
There might be having big hematoma in thigh.
go for x-ray or CT scan to rule out fracture or muscle injury.
Apply ice pack 2-3 times a day for few days.
Take some NSAID medicine like ibuprofen or Diclophenac as needed.
Give rest to the part.
Ok and take care.
