Suggest Treatment For Bruise On Penis

Hi I appear to have stripped a layer of skin on my meatus when pulling back my foreskin to urinate (drunk unfortunately). I m in a humid climate and I suspect the friction of pulling back the foreskin has ripped the portion that was stuck together with my foreskin. Now I have a red blemish/sore where this occurred but curiously so does my foreskin where the contact was made. Will this heal naturally? PS I haven t been sexually active for over a year if that helps Regards, M

Hi,

Nothing much to worry as the stripped of superficial skin will regrow by itself. You can apply topical antibiotics like Mupirocin after cleaning with soap and water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
