Hi I have a bruise on my gastrocnemius of my leg, For about 3weeks and it is just starting to go away. But I have a lump I guess, well when I press on it it feels like there were to be a marbal inside. I did hit myself really hard. So I was wondering if I should be worried or not ?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. It is most likely a hematoma or a blood clot. That area is notorious for clots due to the soleal plexus of veins. It would be organized by now. If there is pain you cab take pain medicines. You should apply warm compresses and crepe bandage or some form of compression bandage from the ankle upwards till above your knee. It will go away in a few weeks. Take care. Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
