Hi,

Azithral is an antibiotic commonly prescribed to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It is not going to help in reducing the 'body swelling'. Body swelling could be due to diseases of the heart, kidney, liver, thyroid and other conditions which need to be evaluated by your doctor and treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
