Hi, I have this or what looks like a blood blister on the inside of my thigh. I ve tried popping it numerous times and everyone in awhile I ll get puss to come out of it. I have had now for a while and was wondering why I got it and how u get rid of it!
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain blood blister on the inside of my thigh which on releasing pus can be due to formation of an abscess.
It occurs most commonly due to hair follicle infection while other causes can be infected gland in the area or infection in the skin leading to pus formation under the skin..
I would suggest you to consult a general surgeon and get evaluated. He can advise you a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller and topical application of antibiotic, steroid and numbing ointment.. Clean the area with antiseptic solution and put gentle pressure to drain off pus.. If it does not improve or start worsening then Incision and Drainage can help in faster resolution..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
