Suggest Treatment For Blisters On The Legs

Good afternoon,4 days ago I walked into some bushes and I was bit by insects that caused blisters on my legs,At first I started scratching them but after they formed blisters I stopped and experienced great pain for 2 days,i went to the pharmacy at day 1 and they gave me fucicort and today I ve seen most of my blisters have pop up(4-5 of them) but my biggest one has something inside that i was really curious for,it has something white floating inside and it had 3 of my hair seeds attached to it,i could even move the white thing by moving my hair and i was disgusted.Should i worry?should i wait until the blister dry up or should i open it and remove the white thing?i suspect it is my skin. -thank you for your time

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The most important thing is to watch for signs of infection such as pus secretion fever or swelling of extremity and in this case you should see a doctor who will probably prescribe antibiotics. Otherwise, you need some kind of antihistaminic ointment. Also Apply an ice pack to a bite or sting for 15 to 20 minutes once an hour for the first 6 hours.

Try a nonprescription medicine for the relief of itching, redness, and swelling such as Benadryl or Chlor-Trimeton. Hydrocortisone cream or Calamine lotion may also be helpful. it is important not to scratch or manipulate the wound to prevent infection. You may cover the wound with a thin layer of petroleum jelly, such as Vaseline, and a nonstick bandage.

Hope I have answered your query.
