Suggest Treatment For Back Pain And Sensitive Skin Caused Due To A Fall

3 weeks ago i had an accident and fell back on the edge of a table, with a stocky adult male landing on top of me. Initially all the pain was in the front/side of my ribs, this has subsided but is still painful. But my back has become very painful with shooting pains and a ripping sensation on certain movements like twisting or rising. The skin on my back around this area has become extremely sensitive and sore that even the softest losest of clothing hurts.

Hello,

As first-line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan to rule out spine related problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
