Suggest Treatment For An Injury Caused By Falling On A Concrete Road

Thank you for you expertise and time. I feel on my left side onto a rough concrete broad step two and 1/2 weeks ago. I knew I would have a giant bruise, but had NO IDEA how giant it would end up being. Instantly, my entire left hip area turned black and blue. The pain is still quite noticeable and I now have 3 very tender rock-like bumps right on what I think is my hip bone. Could this be something more than a large hematoma? Should I make an appointment to see an orthopedist, to get their opinion or should I just try and tough it out for a much longer period of time? I m not able to sleep on my left side at all and after sitting at the computer, reading a book, or enjoying a beautiful sunset, I have even more pain upon rising. Thanks for any help you can give me. Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got injury to your left hip and you got large hematoma. If you has no fever and you can take weight on it (can walk without pain)then no need to worry much. Hematoma gradually resolved by itself .Thrombophob gel local application three times a day over it(no rubbing) can help in resolving it.You can take analgesic such as diclofenac for pain relief. If you not able to walk then you need to get your x-ray done, for which you have to visit orthopedic surgeon. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
