Suggest Treatment For Allergic Cough

Hi, I am facing cough problem when season change from summer to winter and I take Augmentin Duo (625mg) tablet.. which helps to recover fast.. but this tablet is very strong.. so i need your help to suggest me and alternate of this medicine ? Thanks in advance Tejinder Singh, Age 40yr, Male

Thanks for your question on HCM.
Seasonal cough is very common problem.
It is mostly due to viral infection. Viruses are more cultivating in winter and humid season. So Viral upper respiratory tract infection is commonly causing seasonal cough.
So my advice to you is to take annual influenza vaccine. It will give protection for 1 year. So very year you should take this vaccine.
Another drug you should take before the initiation of season is combination of antiallergic and antihistamine. This should be taken through out the season.
So consult your doctor and discuss about all these. Because all these are prescribed medicines and prescription is needed for this.
