Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your Mother having alcohol relapse and started vomiting and is black - she will not let you ring ambulance, was admitted last month which needed 4 nights of stay in a hospital.
This is a serious concern and there is nothing else that can be done at home as the vomit is black and may need an urgent resuscitation anytime the vomiting or bleeding is massive.
It is possible that she is bleeding from the varices in the stomach and might have developed portal hypertension.
I would advise you the following:
Give her a PPI like Omeprazole and Ranitidine.
Antacid every three hours.
Chilled milk and water to stop the gastritis and related propblems.
Ask her to rest and stay cool.
Call the ambulance without her knowledge.
Rush to Er, have upper GI endoscopy and ultrasonography to see for the cause and get the blood tests for CBC, packed cell volume, Liver and kidney function tests are most necessary.
Do not listen to what she says as there can be a dire emergency.
