Hi,

I can understand the severity of RA your wife has been suffering from. As you have been taking non biologic DMARDs and adjunctive drugs with very less results, I would suggest to increase the dose of Methotrexate and observe for a month. This has to be done under medical supervision. If RA isn't controlled yet, we can go for biologic DMARDs like anti TNF agents eg. Etanercept, Infliximab etc., but only under medical supervision. Kindly inform your treating physician about the deformities and ask him to rise the dose of Methotrexate or to add another non biologic DMARD.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
