Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain,bloating And Diarrhea

I have a dull pain under my ribs. Also back pain and now diarrhea for two days. It also feels like I have gas that doesn t want to come out. I was recently taken off of Metformin due to excess diarrhea, and ever since I have stopped that medication I have had the pain, bloating, and now diarrhea again. I am not sure what to do.

Dear- thanks for using our service.Diarrhea is a common side effect of Metformin, specially the 1000mg pill. Some patients don't tolerate it and will need to change it.The pain,bloating and abdominal disconfort is from gas.However the diarrhea without Metformin is probably secondary to malabsorption or any other medical condition because you are not taking the pill. You might need to see a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy view of the area and to take samples of the intestinal wall.You need to get samples of your diarrhea for regular bacterial and parasite culture.
