Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Bloating While On Omeprazole
I have continual bloating and am very uncomfortable 24/7, I try and buy gluten free but not sure if that is the problem. I don t have any other symptoms other then that, I don t eat a lot but I have gained weight. I can wake up this way and if I eat anything I feel full, My Doctor gave me Omeprazole I don t feel it helps much. Do you have any suggestions for me or ideas of what it could be.
The foods that are most commonly associated with bloating are as follows: broccoli, cauliflower, beans, carbonated drinks, Brussel sprouts, turnips, prunes, lactose (if lactose is intolerant).
Constipation and reflux can also be associated with bloating as well.
Avoiding onions, mint, caffeine, spicy or fried foods- may also help as well.
You should look at any medications used to see if they may also be a source of problems.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
