I am a 19 year old male and I ve got a red mark from the aftermath of a whitehead located on my forehead. This red mark has never happened to me before with other whiteheads and it doesn t seem to be clearing up. The red mark is flat. What should I do/use to treat the area?

Hello young man,

I can understand your concern for the red mark on the forehead.

It is quite common to see such kind of marks due to pinching and popping the skin especially on face.

I suggest you to not to fiddle with the area as can lead to further darkening of the area.

In your kind of condition I generally give a mild steroid with antibiotic cream such as fluticasone with mupirocin to treat the condition early.

It may change into a dark mark for sometime so do not at all touch the area. It would be taking around 2-3 moths to get completely resolved.

All the best.
