General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that it may be an abscess which is a localized collection of pus. It would be painful. In the early stages it would be a firm mass that would eventually soften and discharge.

Treatment : incision and drainage of the abscess and antibiotics.

She should be taken to her doctor to determine if this is the cause of her symptoms.
Recovery, after treatment, is usually complete

I hope this helps
