General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Aspirin should be avoided as there are chances of bleeding or other coagulation disturbances in the case of painful varicose veins. My guidelines till consultation with expert vascular surgeon:
- Keep the leg elevated over 3-4 pillows when resting
- Avoid prolong leg dependent position
- Avoid excess weight bearing or prolong walking, running activities
- Avoid smoking if consuming
- Control of blood pressure, body weight, blood sugar and cholesterol
- Stockinet support during mobilisation
- Analgesic such as Diclofenac, acetaminophen or Tramadol hydrochloride through prescription as per the choice of your primary care taker

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
