Suggest Treatment For A Itchy Rash On The Lower Back

I have a itchy rash on my lower back and upper buttocks. I had an itch, starting scratching and with 5 minutes I had burning, itchy skin about 6 inches in length and 4 inches in height. I been applying anti-itch cream for the past two days along with some Benedryl.

Hi,

Itchy rash on buttock may be either allergic rash..eczema or fungal infection .. Tinea corporis. You consult dermatologist and have firm diagnosis.

Antihistaminics like levocetirizine may be taken to relieve itch. If you have allergic rash, steroids in tappering dose may be taken and steroid cream may be applied. If it is fungal infection, antifungal tablets like ketoconazole may be taken and antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream may be applied.

I hope thus would help you.

Thanks.
