Do you have any information on providing help with MS? I ve had it for almost 9 years, but have just started having trouble with my legs being weak and feeling tired. I try to learn all I can about MS, so I d love to hear anything you have to say or teach me.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your clinical details.

I am glad to note that you have kept fairly well for almost nine years after the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS) and moreover, you like to learn about the MS.

MS is a chronic disease, with multiple relapses (new symptoms) and remissions (improvement).

Stress and heat may cause relapses, so, it is better to avoid them.

Medications such as interferon injections would prevent relapses of MS.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Dr Sudhir Kumar MD (Internal Medicine), DM (Neurology)
