Suggest Treatment For IBS And Hemorrhoids Causing Discharge Of Blood Clot

My husband has IBS and hemorrhoids and last night when he used the bathroom there was a small sticky clump bright red in the toilet. It resembles a bright red cough drop. He did get it out to check it and when he touched it with a cotton swab it was really sticky not slimy like a blood clot. Any idea??

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history related to your husband who is having IBS and hemorrhoids. He found in the bathroom after passing motion that he passed a small sticky substance.
I would advise you the following:
Consult your Doctor and tell him the whole history/complaints.
get the following investigations:
Stool tests for three 3 consecutive days.
Tests of blood and urine.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen.
Colonoscopy at an appropriate time.
to get a proper treatment after all these investigations after getting a proper diagnosis.
I find this answer helpful
