I am from Pakisan, here no online facilities for Dr consultancy?

My nepew and his wife have HIV+ diagonised yesterday, we are all family members are shcoked they are belog to nobel and honest family. His wife got 7 month old male baby Dr suggested for his bolld test for HIV test.



Kindly suggest what they do?

Hi, dear. I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. you have hiv positive. So first you need some investigation. go for cd4 count and viral load. Then from that you can start amti retro viral treatment. Zidovudine, lamivudin, efavirinz, nevirapine are the commonly used drugs for hiv . Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.

thanks for your question.
they take 3-5ml of blood from the boy and test whether his blood is positive for HIV. generally a kit method is used for testing where result will be given in 1 hour.
Generally HIV Virus do not survive in open air so HIV virus can not be transmitted through instruments like bedsheets, plates, combs or any other daily used equipments.
