Suggest Treatment For Ankylosing Spondylitis

I have ankylosing spongilitis since I was 18 years old. I'm now going 48 years old and my spine has completely fused up reducing 6 inches in my height. The pain was gone for a couple of years and now is recurring in my neck portion. My Rheumatologist prescribed me methtrexate which I used to take 15 years ago. Please advise how I can avoid the pain
