Suggest Thigh Exercise To Strengthen Hip Area

I have back and hip pain. I had a complete hysterectomy in 2001. I don t think my problem is related to that. I am looking for exercises to help me. I see a chiropractor about once a month as insurance does not cover this. Would a thigh master type exercise help strengthen the hip area?
