how early after sex can i get my pregnancy test done to get an accurate and true result?please tell me the exact date.I had sex on 23 Apri (although i took emergency pills 5 hours later)l and my expected period date is 5 May. i wanna take a test even if i do not miss my period this month.please tell me the exact date and also tell me which test should i take ? i mean blood or urine? which test is more accurate to detect an early pregnancy and is more reliable? ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 23rd was the 19th day of my cycle

Pregnancy test becomes reliable about two weeks after fertilization which is usually at the time the individual is expected to see her menses. For those who are pregnant, at this moment, they would not see their menses and thus a missed period would prompt them to investigate for pregnancy. However, not all missed periods are due to pregnancy; stress can delay menses and intake of pills can alter menstrual cycle.
The fact that you took the emergency pills 5 hours after the sexual exposure makes pregnancy a less likely thing to occur. However, since you say you need to the test, do it after the date you were expecting your menses.
Urine or blood, there is no big deal. All will detect equal results.

2.Even few days early it seen but most accurately seen after missed period.
3.Blood test will give 7-10days after unprotected sex. which is earliest to detect.
4.You are saying that even you get period you will get test done - there can not be a pregnancy if you have normal periods.
5.blood is more accurate than the urine pregnancy test.
