Your daughter has anxiety and depressive disorder. Recently she has been prescribed Clonidine for poor sleep. Clonidine is an Alpha agonist drug and the drug is having sedative action which can be utilised for poor sleep problems. Clonidine is also helpful in anxiety symptoms. The drug is free of serious side effects except hypotension. Get her baseline BP checked before starting the dose and there is no need to worry about the side effects of drug.
