Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Disequilibrium is because of abnormality in the vestibular apparatus or inner ear. Changes due to aging are inevitable. But certainly there are exercise that you can perform. Avoid lifting weights or using a treadmill. You may go for walks and perform free hand exercises.

Do not perform jerry movements at neck. Perform exercises under supervision of an instructor or in the presence of someone so that if something goes wrong they may call for medical assistance. I truly appreciate your spirit to exercise at this age. Keep going.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Deepti Shivakumar
