morning Doctor, iam 11 wks preg..but was diagnosed with malaria and typhoid...my pharmacist prescribed augumentin for typhoid , fansidar for malaria but my doc said lonart for typhoid is safer but fansidar is k..so which is safer /safest to take for typhoid in pregnancy

amoxycillin is safer in pregnancy,u can take it dear.chloroquine 10 mg/kg body wt orally once daily for 2 days then 5 mg/kg body wt for only one day.it is safe in all the 9 months and for typhoid u can taketab ampicillin 1 gm orally 4 times a day or tab amoxicillin 1 gm three times a day for 14 days
