Suggest Remedy For Upper Abdominal Pain While Suffering From Diarrhea
Every time I stand up, my upper abdomen hurts like hell. I don t understand what s going on. I ve recently had diarrhea all night long and now I woke up this morning hurting like hell. When I m slouched over, it doesn t hurt. Just when I stand up and walk around

Hello,
As per my clinical experience, the pain upper abdomen with episode of diarrhea can be related to:
- Gastric upset in terms of gastritis
- Bacterial or viral infection of small intestine
- Drug induced as antibiotic side effect or else
My guidelines at present:
- Drink more liquids in sessions
- Avoid aertaed drinks
- Prefer bland, vegan diet
- Avoid all spices, non veg, dairy fat, junk foods
- Intake of proton pump inhibitor as omeprazole on empty stomach with sips of water
- Consider need of GI specific antibiotic as metronidazole, rifaximin or others with your primary care giver
- Anti spasmodic medicine as dicyclomine or drotaverine to be consumed after meals
- Pre and pro biotics with lacto bacillus and sachharomyosis bullardiae
