I don t have a lump that I can see but is mostly the extra tight chocking feeling in the front, please help! Thanks
Hi there, Thanks for using HCM. You have feeling of lump in the throat. This symptom is called globus pharyngeus. This can occur due to gastroesophageal reflux disease, post nasal drip or can be functional. You can take a course of Nexium. You will get relief if your symptom is due to gastroesophageal reflux disease. You also need to avoid smoking, alcohol, coffee, citrus, chocolates and carbonated beverages. If you have nasal stuffiness and pain over the cheek bones, then it is more likely that you have sinusitis which turn can cause post nasal drip leading to feeling of lump in the throat. Antihistamines like benadryl and decongestants like sudafed would provide relief in this case.
