Suggest Remedy For Tight, Painful Tendon After A Sprain

Hi, I strained the tendon behind my right knee whilst sprinting 7 weeks ago. I have put ice on it and rested it, but it is still extremely tight and feels as though it is going to tear when I go to run. Is there a knot in it, or do I need to keep resting it? Thanks.
