Suggest Remedy For Tight/discomfort In Throat

Hello. I m a 24 male, soon to be 25 on the fourth of July. I am 5 11 weigh about 180 and have the athletic built. However, I just noticed when I yawned earlier that I felt my right side of my throat tighten. It was like a ball shape and it was the same pain that you get when your muscles cramp up. I massaged it and relaxed my throat. 3 mins later it felt better! What should i do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There are many medical conditions that can cause a tight throat. In your case it looks like an allergic reaction. I recommend using antihistamines daily such as Levocetirizine. Also use throat sprays for local application. Drink liquids and rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
