Suggest Remedy For Swollen Bruise Above The Knee

I have very bad veins in my legs. Just above my knee I noticed today that there is a golf ball size bruise and it feels like a ball inside of it? I have had bad veins for a very long time. They have bruised in the past but this one seems different. What should I do? Thank you

I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns.?
what is ur age? what is ur occupation? do u do that work require prolonged standing?For how long u are suffering from it? Any other associated problem? like diabetes or hypertension? are u smoker?Are u running fever? Any other lymph node swelling in ur body? are there some visible tortuous veins in ur leg?
Based upon your history, it seem to be a VARICOSE VEINS but you need to be examined by a SURGEON for a definitive diagnosis.
if a am ur attending physcian i will get your FBC along with the DOPPLER ULTRASOUND of lower limb to look for the patency of the deep veins.
so meet your doctor so that proper management can be initiated timely.
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain avoid too much standing as well as straining work. you can use stocking for conservative treatment. meet your surgeon for definitive treatment
