Suggest Remedy For Swelling On Chin And Lower Lips

After having a shot, then taking prednisone for 9 days because of poison oak, I have developed raised places on various areas of my body that become a large rash. I am now having swelling on my chin and lower lips. Because I m very sensitive to all medications, I suspect that it is a reaction to the prednisone. What can I do to reduce the swelling?

dear friend, you are allergic to certain things.you developed urticaria -angioedema.I don't think you are allergic to prednisolone,it's a very rare thing.Rather it's regularly used against many form of severe allergic reactions. You can try tab.cetrizine 10mg at bed time for 3 days and tab.ranitidine 150mg just before food (eg.lunch/dinner) for 3days.If it still persists then it's better to consult an internist face to face.Try to find out if there's anything that is causing the reaction. It may be even pollen, food, dust etc.Avoidance of the causing agent is the best treatment for allergy.Get well soon.
